Disputing a lost or stolen report
A report on a device is a factual claim by another user, and a knowingly false one is treated as fraud under our Acceptable Use Policy. If you believe a report is wrong, email support@ownvouch.com with:
- The device's serial number or IMEI
- Why you believe the report is false, or why you're the rightful current holder
- Supporting evidence you already have — for example a receipt, the box label, a photo of the serial, or the handover record from the app
We review every dispute in good faith but can't guarantee a particular outcome, and we may ask either party to complete additional identity verification before a record is changed.
Before you write
- Checking a device before buying? You don't need to contact us or create an account — use the public serial lookup.
- General questions about pricing, what OwnVouch verifies, and how handovers work are answered in the FAQ.
- Never share a one-time passcode with anyone, including in an email to us — we will never ask for one.
